I have noticed that the reference pictures are marked offline when using the wipe tool.
Is it just me or others getting this same problem?
The pictures are there and I have tried all sorts to see if I was the problem but alas that was not the case!
Edit.... This is in the colour page.

I don't know the answer to your dilemma, but I asked ChatGPT. Maybe this will help?

This issue is not unique to your setup. Reference stills appearing offline when using the wipe tool in the Color page is something other users have encountered as well. It typically relates to how Resolve handles still metadata and file referencing under the hood.

One possible cause is that the original still no longer points to a valid media reference or was saved in a context that Resolve no longer fully recognizes. Even if the still is visible in the Gallery, it may not render during a wipe if its associated clip or timeline context is missing or has changed.

Try grabbing a new still from the current timeline and wiping that version. This ensures the still is linked to active media in your current session.

Clearing the render cache and updating the still thumbnail can also help. Use Playback > Delete Render Cache > All, then right-click the still and choose Update Thumbnail.

Make sure the Gallery stills location under Project Settings > General Options is set to a valid local path that Resolve can read and write to. Network drives or missing volumes can interfere with proper still handling.

You can also try exporting the still and then reimporting it into the same project. This can sometimes refresh broken metadata links and restore full functionality with the wipe tool.

In some cases, the issue stems from importing stills created in other projects, or using stills after database migrations or timeline changes. Rebuilding them fresh within the current project and timeline usually resolves the problem.

Let me know if you’re still running into it after trying these.

I have tried all of the above, still having the same issue.
I think it will be the case of waiting for B4 and see if it gets sorted?
Mean while I will just do old school as I do not use the wipe tool on every project, only used when I get bad footage or a request for a film type look.
Thanks for having a look.

Do you think it'd a bug? If so, add it to the database.

Sorry for the delay, I was away.
It is nice to be away for a short break ;)
I will keep that in mind next time, it looks like the download was not installed correctly? Not sure why but it happened, after re installing, it worked fine.
